Privacy Policy

Per Plate provides sales training, menu knowledge tools, coaching, and performance reporting for full-service restaurants. This policy explains what information we handle and why.

Who controls employee data

When a restaurant uses Per Plate, the restaurant is the data controller for information about its staff. Per Plate processes that information on the restaurant’s behalf and according to its instructions. The restaurant is responsible for telling employees about its use of Per Plate and obtaining any consent required by law.

Information we collect

  • Restaurant account and contact details, including names, business email addresses, phone numbers, restaurant locations, billing contacts, and point-of-sale system information.
  • Employee information supplied by a restaurant, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, roles, and restaurant assignments.
  • Training activity for each employee, including lessons assigned and completed, progress, quiz answers and results, role-play activity, and coaching history.
  • When a restaurant connects or imports data from its point-of-sale system, sales performance data by employee and menu item, including check averages, item sales, category mix, attach rates, and related reporting periods.
  • Technical and usage information such as browser type, device information, page activity, approximate location derived from an IP address, referral source, and support communications.

What a restaurant can see

Authorized restaurant managers can see an individual employee’s assigned training, completion status, quiz results, coaching activity, and the sales performance attributed to that employee from connected or imported restaurant records. They may compare those results across employees and reporting periods.

Restaurants cannot see an employee’s private account password, payment-card details, unrelated browsing activity, personal communications outside Per Plate, or data belonging to another restaurant. Per Plate does not create or provide consumer credit reports, background checks, medical profiles, or information about protected characteristics.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the service, create restaurant-specific training, measure learning and sales outcomes, support users, process payments, send service communications, improve Per Plate, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or employee performance data.

AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence to turn restaurant-provided menus and materials into training, answer menu questions, or support practice conversations. Inputs and outputs may be sent to an AI service provider only to provide the requested feature. Restaurants should not submit sensitive personal information in menus, prompts, or training materials.

Service providers and subprocessors

We use subprocessors to run Per Plate. They process information only to provide services to us. Our current or anticipated subprocessors include:

  • Lovable and Cloudflare — application hosting, content delivery, storage, database infrastructure, and security.
  • Google — business email, site analytics, and related productivity services.
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing. Per Plate does not store full payment-card numbers.
  • OpenAI and Google — artificial intelligence features used for training content, menu-grounded assistance, and role-play where enabled.
  • Hard Launch — customer relationship management and application follow-up.

Providers may change as the service develops. We evaluate providers for appropriate privacy and security protections.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while a restaurant account is active and as needed for legitimate business, security, tax, and legal purposes. A restaurant may request deletion or export of its account and employee data by emailing hello@moreperplate.com.

An individual employee may also email that address to request access, correction, or deletion. Because the restaurant controls employee data, we may verify the request and refer it to the employee’s current or former restaurant. We will delete or de-identify information when instructed by the restaurant unless law requires us to retain it.

Security, transfers, and choices

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

You may control cookies through your browser. Service communications are necessary to operate an account; optional marketing messages include an unsubscribe method.
